The Grass Is Always Greener Where You Water It

Here at ReTwist-T, April is Rainbow month! Last week we chatted a bit about how it is also "April showers bring May flowers" month...and with the rain comes rainbows...so, there you go...Rainbow month!

Our color of the rainbow this week is GREEN. Green has so many different and exciting hues, but we're going to take a peek at just "8 shades of green" -- Teal, Chartreuse, Kelly, Forest, Hunter, Lime, Olive, and Honey Dew!!! After all...

The grass is always greener where you water it!

Make your happy space the best it can possibly be...for you! We all spend way too much energy trying to compete with everyone and everything around us. Conserve your energy. Store it up and use it on things that bring you simple joy and pure happiness. What you imagine, you create!

Explore the Hue: TEAL green is created by mixing blue with a green base and adding grey to make it deep and rich!

This week we discovered Teal in unique places:

  • Flower pots

  • Vintage globes

  • Coloring books

Explore the Hue: CHARTREUSE is a symbol of youth, liveliness and new springtime blooms?

This week we discovered Chartreuse stitched into a happy place...

One of our skilled artists, Our Friendly Neighbor, was able to sweetly and artistically blend all of these green attributes into her one-of-a-kind Happy Apple embroidery (pictured). Feeling livelier already!

Explore the Hue: KELLY celebrates nature and renewed energy. It is a special hue of green that, to be honest, I never knew existed!

Nature is fuel for our souls! Connecting with our surroundings...outside our 4 walls...improves our mental and physical wellbeing.

Head over to your jewelry box and get all bedazzled for the outdoors. Wearing jewelry has physical, emotional, and psychological benefits...so bling up, pack a picnic and go play outside!

Explore the Hue: Forest is a historical color that re-connects us all to the rich Earth goodness.

This week we discovered Forest in unexpected artistry:

  • Earthenware coffee mugs

  • Handcrafted ceramic pie plates

  • Miniature gardens

  • Paintings

  • Accessories and jewelry

  • Handwoven baskets

Explore the Hue: HUNTER is a very comfortable space...promoting harmony and stability. It offers that warm feeling of home in the country!

The experiential nature of this color can be found in:

  • Soft, lightly worn, t-shirts

  • Candles...we suggest Cool Citrus and Basil or Tobacco and Bay Leaf scents

  • Watching cows grazing

  • A bit of pampering with natural lotions, oils, scrubs or soaps.

Explore the Hue: LIME is a lovely citrus splash that just can't help but make you smile in the sunshine!!!

Other than the fruit of the same name, we enjoy lime colored...

  • Magnets

  • Jewelry

  • Dishware

  • Shoes

Explore the Hue: OLIVE helps you feel peaceful in your space. Add a little softness, like pillows or soft white blooms, to retain the right head space. What you feel, you attract!

Explore the Hue: HONEYDEW is a soft, sweet color...like rain showers in springtime!

We all spend way too much energy trying to compete with everyone and everything around us.

Conserve your energy. Store it up and use it on things that bring you simple joy and pure happiness.

What you imagine, you create and what you think, you become!
