Yes, I'm Wine-ing

Ok, let's be honest, the real title of this little ditty is...

"If anyone asks, I'm drinking all this wine to collect the corks for a project I saw on Pinterest!"

Now, isn't that better? I feel like we are making a real connection.

Ok, so what is "cork"? Turns out it is a lightweight material, made by a tree called a "Cork Oak". The corky bark of the tree is stripped off, without harming the tree, boiled and pressed to make it more elastic...and TADA...Cork!!!

ReTwist-T is not fancy enough to make our own cork, but we have been lucky enough to receive lots of donations! A couple of repurpose-inspired ideas for corks include:

  • Cork Ornaments, which we fondly call "Show Stoppers"

  • A necklace holder made of corks--Super cute with accent buttons and hooks!

Now, once you've popped the cork, time to enjoy! Wine is rich in antioxidants to boost your immune system and promote heart health. It's been shown to reduce the risk of depression and improve memory as well! Whether you prefer red, white or pink...You've got to set the mood in your happy space and get ready to enjoy!

  • RED evokes excitement and passion.

**If this is your color we suggest adding flair to your space with red glasses or goblets, boxes, fresh cut flowers, or even a fine art print.

  • WHITE is fresh and simple.

**Clear glass is nice for this space, perhaps a Candlewick pitcher or dish set. If Shabby Chic is more your style, we suggest a 'chippy' piece of furnture, a small planter, or a Barn Quilt painting!

  • PINK means love and kindness.

**We are absolutely going with florals and roses for this space! Perhaps tea pots, pink planters, fabric sashes, or a cute fine art print.

To complete your cute little space and set the mood, don't forget to flourish with the perfect lamp and candle!

**You can even get a little DIY going and create a Wine Bottle Lamp...or stop by to browse our selection!
